Combining both prop and both mixture levers in VC?

Featured Replies

I fly the Baron with the G1000 a lot I set the throttle with the throttle on my joystick. I'd like to set the prop and mixture with the mouse using the levers in the VC. But when I do so, I can only move one lever at a time. So to lower the prop I have to set both prop levers manually. The sae goes for the mixture. Is it possible to set them in one go (like you can in the popup-window)? There MUST be a setting to enable this... (I'm surprised it isn't the default method, because it seems to me moving both prop levers or both mixture levers at the same time is done more frequently IRL than setting them one by one.)

Hi,I use the keyboard. There are default keyboard settings for these in there and you can change them if something different if you like or assign a joystick button. The defaults are...Mixture:Ctrl+Shift+F2 = Lean MixtureCtrl+Shift+F3 = Enrich MixtureCtrl+Shift+F4 = Reset to Full RichProp Pitch:Ctrl+F2 = Reduce Prop RPMCtrl+F3 = Increase Prop RPMCtrl+F4 = Return to Full Prop RPMSome more just in case you didn't know, although, like you, I use my joystick lever for these too...Throttle:F2: Reduce ThrottleF3: Increase ThrottleF4: Full Throttle!F1: Cut ThrottleBut for these I use the keyboard...F2: Hold down to engage reversers.... thenF1: press at about 60 knots to to disengage reversers and finish up with brakes I think it may be possible that if you find the correct grab area on the levers(perhaps towards the bottom of them?) that it might move both at the same time if you're really wanting to use the mouse, I'm not positive though.Hope that helps,Jim
