October 29, 200619 yr As soon as I tried the first demo I noticed a very obvious and annoying problem that occurs when using mouse view. For example, when returning to the VC after using the menus or returning from spot view, very often the view direction jumped to a random direction, forcing me to re-centre the view in the VC. Unfortunately this problem remains in the retail. Here's an example. I'd be interested if other people see the same problem.1. I set the VC view direction looking straight forward. The mouse cursor is at the centre of the screen (the cursor appears whenever you move the mouse in mouse look mode).2. I go to spot view and change the view direction so that the mouse cursor is in the bottom right of the screen. So far so good. But....3. I return to the VC. When I move the mouse a tiny bit the view direction shoots off to a completely different angle. The angle corresponds to the mouse cursor being in the bottom right of the screen. I now have to re-centre the view.As I switch views (or use the menus) quite frequently it means that I also have to keep re-centering the view frequently. The reason for this is obvious. All the views that use mouse-look use the same cursor! So if you adjust one view, it changes all the other views, thus forcing you to constantly have to adjust views that you previously set up.Can anyone confirm this problem? I would be surprised if this is peculiar to my system, but I've seen no mention of this problem. There may be one difference. I've set it up so after hitting the space bar it remains in mouse look until I hit the space bar again (i.e. I don't have to hold the space bar down to maintain mouse look).Clearly an independent cursor position should be maintained for every view that can be adjusted by the mouse. I think FSX is fantastic, but this does look like an elementary programming error. I hope there will be a fix of some kind.Best regards, Chris
