Acknowledge ATC without opening ATC-window possible?

Featured Replies

I'd like to be able to acknowledge ATC (usually option 1) without opening the ATC window. Is that possible somehow (maybe by editing a cfg file)? If not, is it possible to close the ATC window as soon as you've acknowledged something? Is that possible...? (I only want to see the ATC-window when I really need to: it makes it all more realistic, imho anyway. ;)

I would also be interested in doing this !!I think the good effort put into the ATC system in the game is let down by having to have an unwanted GUI (even if it is transparent) plonked right in front of you so frequently...rgdsAlan

I have already turned the option 'Auto-open ATC Window' off: that helps a lot. And since the 1 key is close to the ` key I can acknowledge a message within a second ( '-1-' ), but it would be even nicer if you could do without the ATC-window. ;) The numbers (above qwerty) aren't used (on their own) for anything else, so... it could be possible!A lot of people bash the FS ATC system but I love it (ever since it was introduced), even though it let's you change HDG far too often. ;) I have no time to fly online so this option makes things as real as it gets for me. (Maybe I'll get Radar Contact if an FS X version comes available, but that add-on has an ugly interface which has to stay onscreen AFAIK, which is almost reason enough not to get it. ;))
