That "tip" is actually from the tips and tweaks forum right here at AVSIM, on the first page. Unfortunately, it was determined that the so-called improved CPU utilization was due to a bug in Windows in the way it reports CPU usage.I wrote a post in that thread suggesting that it be removed from the tips and tweaks forum, out of concern that it would leak around the internet. It's unfortunate to see that has already started doing so.

I was a suspicious that it would work. After testing a bit more, it doesn't actually do anything at all.
