Getting winds aloft en-route

Does anyone know if msfs2020 has any function to get winds aloft while en-route?  I can get the FSS frequencies but can't seem to make any call to them.  I could work around it by pulling it up in ForeFlight, but wondering how one goes about keeping abreast of weather while in-flight in this sim.

I'll take any general guidance :)  thanks
