XPlane 11 flight save folder

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I dont know if this is the right place to post this, but Im about at my wits end. A while back I purchased an AirFoillabs KingAir 350 which has been one of my favorite aircraft to fly in the XP11 sim. Ive stayed on top of all the updates through the Airfoillabs Product Manager, but lately Ive been having issues with the Throttle, Torque, Prop, and mixture spazzing out after rotation, making stable flight, and approach / landing near impossible. I re-calibrated, deleted, and re-installed the aircraft as well as the XJet folder. Swapped out the flight yoke with one identical to it (CH Eclipse) thinking the throttle quadrant was worn out, and nothing seems to fix the problem. Ive also noticed that XP seems to save the aircraft with all the flight electronics turned on when I reload the aircraft however in the KA350 Setting, I specifically have the box UNchecked to save the last flight. Anyway, I was wondering if there was some folder buried within XP that keeps recent flights or some such that could empty. Kind of like a search history on your browser, but it just keeps refering back to that setting. Kind of like a wicked loop of the movie Groundhog Day. The KA350 is the only aircraft it does this with though which lead me to believe is was something corrupt within the AFL KA350 folder or possibly the XJet folder and thus I could simply delete it and do a fresh install, but it still loads up the same scenario of the aircraft. Ive tried doing the cold and dark set-up thinking it would force the aircraft to go back to its default, but no luck. Im also thinking there might be a couple of other factors involved as that Im running the 11.50R3 version as well as being on the Steam platform. I dont think Steam would have anything to do with it, and am more inclined to believe that the R3 version of XP could be the culprit, but at this point Im clueless.

Thanks for listening to me babble, and any imput you might have,

~Mike'

I have seen a similar error when watching a FMC video tutorial for X-Plane This one here. This might be the same error.

The problems with the controls might be connected with the new version of X-Plane. If this is the add-on of the KA350, the latest version is from June 2019, so it might be incompatible.

Yeah, I was hoping against hope that that might be the issue which means sit patiently and wait till they address the problem. Thanks bunches for the reply Big'. Hopefully something gets done. I sent in a bug report to Airfoillabs on the problem. Sadly they're quite slow in addressing problems with their aircraft.
