October 20, 20205 yr So I'm at the stage where I want to learn how to do things in the Airbus such as ILS approaches, and begin to learn the autopilot operation. There are many good Youtube videos that I'm following to help with this. For example today, I'm following this video on how to practise ILS landings. In this video he selects nav approach frequencies via the FMC. However, anything that involves the FMC has me hit a brick wall. 1) a simple operation like setting departure and arrival, for example, typing EGLL, always comes up with "not in database" 2) shouldn't there be a flight plan loaded in the FMC, when I've used the Sim flight planner? There appears not to be, no matter what I do pre-flight in the planner. Either I'm being stupid and missing something obvious, or the FMC just doesn't work in my install. I tried also with the Citation, and it's the same with the FMC there as the Airbus. Any help would be really appreciated. Paul Edited October 20, 20205 yr by phenoplastic wrongly formatted
October 22, 20205 yr Author No responses, so I guess the answer is I'm doing something stupid. Weird that I follow videos to the letter in the same sim and the same aircraft and mine doesn't work.
