Cabin lights

Featured Replies

Hey all, both the maule and the 172 (when night flying), the cabin and the instrument lights seem to be operated from the same switch. At night the cabin is way to bright, how do I get just the instrument lights to work?Regards,Tim

hmmm... does a real 172 have separate instrument lights?

I guess I just assumed that even the 172 would have a better way to light the instruments? Backlit or frontlit (like the maule), I find it hard to believe that the only way to see the instruments in the 172 is to turn on the dome lights, it kinda ruins the use of night vision.Anyone with some help?Regards,Tim

yeah, to answer myself, i think i remember using panel light a couple of times. it can be dimmed :-)try tweaking fx_vclight.fx. modify the file and assign the new one in aircraft.cfg
