Dual monitors in FSX Question

Featured Replies

I have been using a dual monitor setup in FS9 with out a problem. I am now using FSX and my problem is when ever I run FSX, in full screen mode my 2nd monitor goes to black (only thing I see is the framerate counter for ATI Tools) I dont want to drag anything across to the 2nd monitor for now, only want my primary monitor to display correctly which means I should see the desktop display on the 2nd monitor.Hope this makes sense? Thanks in advance for any help :)EDIT: XP Sp2ATI 9800Pro 256CheersPetehttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg

Pete, I had the same thing happen to me, and I'll be darned if I can positively tell you what fixed it, but it is now like it should be and was in FS9.What I did do is put FSX into window mode, and then try to undock a window and slide it over to my second monitor. That worked and the next time I fired up FSX the monitor was sim ready.Hope this in some way helps.BestClayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. Hi Clayton, I tried dragging the main screen over onto my 2nd monitor in windowed mode, and then back again, shut FSX down and restarted but with no change. I have probably misunderstood what it was that u did? Did u mean u dragged a radio stack or something similar across and left it or??I noticed also that my desktop on my 2nd monitor does not dissapear until I load a flight and it reaches approx 80% loaded?Petehttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg
