November 20, 200619 yr We received our link to download our vista enterprise edition today and I have it installed on my corporate laptop. I am part of the team that evaluates technology for use in our corporate environment and have been testing the RC's for compatibility with apps for months. I ran a brief test this morning for games performance and i didnt see that there was any loss in frames for the few games that i tested on this laptop, which is good news. Granted this laptop is no games screamer but it's quick enough. FS9 had many issues and it was nothing but clipping with this video card/driver. All other games except for fs9 ran as good or better from what i could tell. I'm hoping that with a real games machine and a real video card that there will be no issues. I did not try fsx as there is no way this laptop will run it. With any luck it will run better...I'm going to see about our corporate discount for vista to see how much it will cost me to purchase a copy for home use and then might toss it on my box to see how it runs. I have run into a few of my programs that won't run on vista, one of which is the cessna prepared for takeoff dvd training kit that I'm using for my PPL. I need that to work and have already informed cessna that they need to look into it.
November 20, 200619 yr All you people with 8800 series cards there is no vista driver for them atm. I read that it is supposed to be 'soon' for what it's worth. There still isn't even an XP final version driver yet for these new cards either and they have been out now for going on 2 weeks. C'mon nvidia get on the stick here...
