Using ArcGIS in FSET?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I've been in the market for orthographic sceneries, and seeing how easy it is to make ortho scenery using Ortho4XP, i wanted to try it myself as well.

I am aware of Ortho4P3D, however Ortho4P3D takes quite a long time for one tile, about 15 minutes per tile on ZL16. FSET has been around for FS9/FSX/P3D for quite a while, and in my experience it has been a lot faster than Ortho4P3D, but it's only lacking water masks for islands and shorelines.

The issue I'm currently having is how to setup the ArcGIS service on FSET. Ortho4XP has the option to use ArcGIS. (which is this link by the way: https://server.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/World_Imagery/MapServer?f=jsapi )
I prefer to use ArcGIS as the quality is pretty good throughout the entire world and there is no need for major color correction, apart for the occasional clouds that I have to photoshop out.

However, I'm a bit confused on how to properly setup and use ArcGIS on FSET. Something about referrer links and service coding? As far as I know, Ortho4XP uses the above link for Arc, however FSET works a bit differently, so I would like some help on how to use the ArcGIS service with FSET, if anybody knows how.
