December 22, 20205 yr Following on from a previous post about CTD on launch. I decided to uninstall and re-install MSFS from Steam. To my dismay it then crashed after downloading only about 2 GB out of 100 GB. I have now re-started the installation because I can't think of anything else to do, but this seems a bit ominous and I wonder if I'm doing anything wrong. When I uninstalled the app in Steam the process was very quick and I was left with quite a few leftover files at this location ..... C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator ... which I then deleted as per the instructions here ..... https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016125019-How-to-repair-or-remove-Microsoft-Flight-Simulator-on-Steam I then continued to follow the above instructions, which involved me choosing where to install the bulk of the files. I chose this location as I had done the first time I installed MSFS ..... D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\Packages Obviously the bulk of the files from the previous installation were still there (I assume) - so presumably they will be overwritten? Am I doing anything wrong?
