November 26, 200619 yr At airport with dme with the same frequency as ILS (cyul), the dme transmitter become silent as soon as the aircraft is near the iLS.How do you make it work? Also I noticed that theres a channel number on the actual approach plate for that DME, but not on the map in FS9. If there's a way to lift the confusion and get both DME And ILS work. Thanks
November 27, 200619 yr Hi there,I've tried that and it seems to work OK. Here's some shots of the Cessna coming in to 6R. The DME button must be tuned to the Nav 1 radio to collect the signal. There's an impatient AI pilot in one shot !! http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/162152.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/162153.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/162154.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/162155.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/162156.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/162157.jpgyou can see the DME registers all the way down to the end. They are all a bit blurry to come in under 150 kbs but they show the idea!Andy.
November 27, 200619 yr At 6R and 6L, it works because they have different ILS frequency as the DME, but not at either 24R or 24L because, 24L sharea the same frequency (110.50). Probably this is a bug in FS9.
