December 29, 20205 yr I bought a GNS 430 and found the navbases outdated and not sure how to update them. How can I update them or get my money back?
December 29, 20205 yr You might like use google to search the forum. There aer multiple posts about it. Summerized: The navdatbase is provided by Garmin in its simulator as used by RealityXP. It is not updated regularly. GTN databases are more up to date by Garmin. For an up to data database you need to buy upgrades for the real thing and then copy the relevant files to the directory of the Garmin sim: ldr_sys/avtn_db.bin -> worldwide.bin bmap.bin -> basemap.bin or BMAP.BIN , depending on what is in the original directory as filename terrain.odb -> terrain.odb In case it only likes to install the datbases on an SD card, you have to make the files on the SD card visble: If your SD card is in disk D:, otherise modify accordingly, execute in the cmd window: attrib -h -r -s /s /d D:\*.*
