December 2, 200619 yr Curious if anyone has figured out how to get F-16 HUD and associated VC instruments up and running?ThanksRake
December 2, 200619 yr Have you tried copying all the .cab files in the default FSX planes panel folders (not all the default aircraft have .cab files) to the main FSX gauges folder?I did that per the update instructions for the F-16, and it works like a charm.
December 2, 200619 yr The 2D cockpit is fine--working HUD etc--but not the virtual cockpit HUD--I copied all the default .cab from FSX aircraft into fsx guages.Confirm your virtual cockpit has a working HUD? if so, can you give me a bit more detail on how you did it?ThanksRake
December 2, 200619 yr Bah, I flaked out on it being the VC you were talking about, my bad. Sorry about that.Although, I seem to remember it working in VC too, I'll have to check, I may be hallucinating :) Be a bit before I can get to my FSX box though.
December 2, 200619 yr If you read closely when starting up your flight you will see that "the F16 hud is made for FS98 and is not supported anymore".Just remove the reference to it in the airplane.cfg and use the Shift-Z (speed/heading display) for now.
December 2, 200619 yr I have never gotten that warning with the updated F-16. HUD works fine in 2-D just not in VC.
