Yet another 'transfer license' thread . . . (resolved)

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'm loathe to whine like this do this, especially on an inaugural post but I'm not finding the information I'm looking for, coupled with a discrepancy in the information I'm finding.

What I'm trying to do:

I've recently brought myself out of the stone age and upgraded PC's entirely (from a 32bit Win7 box to a 64-bit Win10 box). I had a splendidly working 430W/530W installation on my old box and want to move that installation onto my new box.

What I've done so far:

Skimmed the forums here via google search for relevant information/commiseration and perused the FAQ's.

The problem I'm running into:

The FAQ's recommend requesting a new key, but the link that the FAQ points to is broken. Moreover, the store has changed its method of disbursement and while I can view my order information (and relevant security key) with the new system, I can't seem to get this to integrate with what I've got on-hand in any ostensibly actionable way. I'm also not finding any of the software previously mentioned in the steps needed to transfer licenses manually (maybe I'm not looking hard enough?).

What I'd like to see:

Anything actionable to get my machine-specific license transferred onto my new rig. I'd also like to purchase the 650/750 rig in the near future but that's out of the scope of this post. :)

Thanks in advance; mods, feel free to move this into whichever subforum is appropriate.

Guys, looks like I'm sorted decently. I ended up reinstalling on the present rig while following the steps here. Specifically I was able to see the option to reinstall the GNS and I pointed the installer to my F1 account.

Operations check on multiple aircraft satisfactory. This can be marked resolved. 🙂
