January 20, 20215 yr Hi - I've been using the GTN750 for a good while without issue. I think I've once had the antivirus alert me to something but it appeared to be a false positive according to forum posts. Having made no further changes to the software, I recently go this message from Bitdefender: "\Reality XP\GTN Simulation\X-Plane\bin\rxpGtnSim64.dll is infected with Gen:Variant.Razy.830748 and was moved to quarantine." I deleted the file and, not surprisingly, the GTN750 no longer works. I then tried to re-install the product from scratch through the installer and got the same message again in the middle of the install process. This another false positive or has this file somehow gotten infected? I'm using X Plane 11 with Vulkan on.
January 20, 20215 yr Same here with the RXP GTN650 on P3D v5.1. All of a sudden and without changing anything in my setup, Bitdefender is considering the ...\RealityXP\GTN Simulation\FltSim\64\rxpGTN.dll as positive. Tried to create an exemption in Bitdefender but it's till attacking the .dll. Already filed a case at Bitdefender's desk. Best regards and stay safe! Willem
January 21, 20215 yr Author The sudden change/issue is what concerns me. Also, it specifically mentions "Gen:Variant.Razy.830748" which I think is different to the first time I got a false positive with this software. Googling "Gen:Variant.Razy.830748" did not produce very encouraging results either. Hope someone can assist as I use this unit in many of my aircraft. And going back to the stock GPS unit is a very bitter pill to swallow haha
January 21, 20215 yr Problem solved. Bitdefender was updated this morning and all is functioning properly again. Good luck and stay safe. Willem
