Aircraft Engine Sounds In Menu, No Control.

Featured Replies

FSX. Sound Card in computer, Sound Blaster 'Audigy'. In Menu, Options, Settings, Sound, I cannot reduce the engine sound volume using the bar. Nor can I switch off the Sound. When I untick and save, the tick has returned when I go into Sound again. I use the same engine 'Sound' and 'Soundai' for the Boeing 737 and 747 in MSX, no changes made to the default aircrafts. The volume of the engine Sound is much louder in the 747. Any help please? Thanks.delta.

Use the Device Manager to ensure you are using the soundcard and not onboard sound. As a quick check open the Sounds and Audio Devices applet from the Winsows Control Panel and check the Audigy is shown as the default sound card for all devices and voices.BTW, hardware questions go in the hardware forum!Allcott

Allcott,Many thanks for reply. Device Manager - 'Sound,Video and Game Controllers' Sound Blaster Audigy, with Audio Codecs, Legacy Audio Drivers and Realtek AC'97 Audio. Sound and Audio Devices in Control Panel - all Sound Blaster Audigy, Sound Playback, default device, Sound Blaster Audigy. I put up "Setup" using F2 on starting computer - Onboard Devices, Integrated Audio OFF (ON was not lit as it would be if I was using Sound from the Motherboard. Computer - P4 3.8 GHz, 2048 MB Memory, HD 160 GB, Graphic Card NVidia Ge Force 6800 256 MB. Many thanks.Delta.
