Abacus A380 FSX version freezes FSX

Featured Replies

I just purchased the Abacus Fly the A380 for FSX and each time it freezes up my pc right after I press fly now. The default aircraft are working fine. After it loads up the scenery and places the aircraft at the airport I chose, I get about half of the graphics on the screen and then it freezes. The screen is full, just not completely rendered. I can hear the sound but it crackles and pops quite a lot. I have done an uninstall and a reinstall of FSX and an uninstall and reinstall of the Airbus but it continues to freeze up.I recently replaced my video card with a Visiontek ATI X1300.My specs are:-Dell Dimension 4600 Pentium IV 2.8GHZ Non hyperthreading-1 GB RAM-Raptor 10,000 RPM 73GB HD-VisionTek RADEON X1300 XGE 512MB DDR2 AGP Graphics Card600MHz/533MHz clock speedDell 17" flat panelIf anyone would have any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.Thank you

I'm sorry but i have no advice to offer you other than asking why you went through all that trouble to solve a problem that is obviously with the addon plane? I would be asking the abacus folks what's going on and/or asking for a refund. Good luck.

Actually the replacing of my video card had nothing to do with the purchasing of the A380. The time was coincidental. I had my video card well before I had purchased the plane. But, gee thanks for all the help.
