April 25, 20215 yr Hi, I just start to use Little Navmap and my question is about Flight Plan Calculation. I have added Departure (without departure procedure), Destination (with approach procedure). I select VFR and cruise altitude 2500ft. The direct way from TOC to TOD is throug the prohibited Airspace where no flight allowed. I expect that when in Flight Plan calculation window I press Calculate the flight plan will created not through these prohibited Airspaces. But actually two waypoints were added, one of them in prohibited Airspace (from 0ft to 26000ft). So flight plan calculated for cruise altitude 2500ft through prohibited Airspace with restriciton from 0ft to 26000ft. What settings need to be set so that when Сalculating a flight plan in the Flight Plan Calculation window, it does not pass through the zones prohibited for flight? Thanks.

Thanks. Here is discussion about this: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/129621-little-navmap-release-x-plane-support/&page=40&tab=comments#comment-2177116 At this moment in LNM you can switch on airspaces and manually plan your VFR route. BTW - autoroute calculation in general is mainly for IFR flights. Of course, you can use this for VFR planning but in such case the only difference between VFR and IFR type flight is the first one requires VMC conditions and nothing more but the navigation is exactly the same for both IFR and VFR - based on IFR enroute fixes** instead of ground landmarks 😛 If someone is interested, here are guides about real world VFR planning: -https://www.aerodynamicaviation.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/AeroDynamics-XC-Guide.pdf -http://www.cfidarren.com/r-crosscountry.htm For VFR planning I use own waypoints on LNM map view which is better than real chart and pencil because it's easier redraw/move waypoint or erase the obsolete one 🙂 In general VFR and IFR planning are two separate worlds if we discuss about "as real as it gets" attitude. Regards, Piotr **yes, I know, every _good_ VFR pilot is able to perceive given IFR fix point that is based on GPS coordinations from height 2500 feet in VMC conditions ... 😉😉😉 Edited April 25, 20215 yr by ppgas Never give up ... - here are details of the whip-round: https://zrzutka.pl/en/pewr2d -> to help my younger son fights against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (blood cancer).
