G1000 App for 7" touch screen

Featured Replies

I have a couple of 7inch touchscreens. Right now they are hooked up to my 3D Printers but I'm selling one and switching the other out for a smaller screen to save space.

Sooo, I'm looking to repurpose these onto my FlightSim rig. Right now I have the full Saitek-Logotech setup with three FIPS, comm, nav and switch panel with a yoke a two throttle blocks.

I have seen out there that there is a fellow in China that makes a pretty darn good G1000 simulator using two Apple iPads a couple of custom bezels, the center switch module and the necessary software.

The problem is, it is rather expensive and is usually out of stock. He only makes a few at a time.

All that being said, is there either a Windows app, Linux app or even a raspberry-pi app that I can use these screens with? I can print my own bezels and switches.

I have been out of the Sim community for quite some time now but with the release of MSFS2020 I jumped in with both feet, aforementioned Saitek setup a new PC, VolairSim seat and mount and three monitors.

I could google, but I honestly don't know what to search for and lately google tosses a bunch of cr-p at you most of it NOT relevant to your current search.volairsim.jpg

It looks like I'll be going with the Glass Cockpit to Sim solution. So far the app is nice (as far as I can tell in the demo). I do whish there was a MFD as well as the PFD. Some NAV entries would be easier than messing with "turning knobs" in the virtual cockpit.
