where to find user-waypoints of GNS530/430 ??

Featured Replies

X-Plane 10.50 Vulcan, external cockpit panel, single engine planes only, for additional exercising next to flight school, realityXP installed for GNS530 and GNS430

Hi,

first of all, my setup is working perfectly and I am very happy with this Garmin Simulation, as it is getting pretty close to the reality, much closer than the X-plane-embedded version.

For an easier backup of my entire simulation-system, I use to install everything related to the simulator in my X-plane-directory c:/x-plane 11/...., also the Garmin-stuff, which is parked in c:/x-plane 11/realityXP/...

However, I found also some files in the Windows subfolder Program. Maybe this happened, when I did the very first installation and eventually did not force my preference where realityXP is going to be parked.

What I found out so far is, that in my preferred simulation area (Central Europe/Austria), non of the VFR-waypoints are already existing (the x-plane-embedded simulation of Garmin 530/430 had these waypoints, although about half of them were wrong). There are arbout 80 VFR-waypoints in Austria and it is good training to program them all, however, since this takes many hours of work, I would like to have a backup of these user-Waypoints.

What I need to now, where (file name, directory, etc) do I find this file, containing the user-waypoints. I read the manual about exporting a flight plan, however my directory structure inside realityXP looks quite different and since I don´t know how the file name or at least the file extension is, I can´t find it.

Can someone help me please, thank you in advance...

Best Greetings from LOAN

Albert
