ABL Script

Recommended Posts

Guest badbradclark

I had written a cheesy program for FS9 that would generate an ABL script as a very simple adventure generator. It seems this does not work any more now that I've moved to FSX.ABL scripts are used for the lessons, so FSX still supports them. However, when trying to load a flight that is associated with an ABL script, an error occurrs. Even if I copy the lesson.flt and lesson.abl script from the lessons directory, I still get the error. The error indicates that the script associated with my flight cannot be found. I have tried moving my script around the FSX install directory, but still does not find it. I even ran a process monitor to see where FSX was trying to look for the file, but there was no entry for the fsx.exe trying to find the .abl file. (when loading a lesson, the process monitor DID identify that the .abl file was found).Seems like a bug - unless someone knows of a work around or fix.
