May 28, 20215 yr I've been pretty upset at the "nerfing" graphically of MSFS, presumably to get things into line for the XBox release, or because they can't afford us all to be streaming high quality terrain at altitude.. I found very poor resolution on terrain textures above 18,000 feet. It's really bad, so bad for me that I'm installing X-Plane again to see if Ortho4XP is as disappointing (I don't remember it being) However, I have been playing around with the "texture resolution" setting, and it doesn't make a lot of difference to terrain textures. Even after a sim restart. I know Terrain LOD is the main driver for terrain quality, as well as Anisotropic Filtering and Terrain Synthesis. I was wondering if anyone else could verify whether "Texture Resolution" applies to terrain textures or just the stuff we see around airports? TIA Edited May 28, 20215 yr by Langeveldt
