February 10, 200719 yr Pretty fun, the guys at Microsoft actually did some pretty detailed research on this one, using real-world call signs and flight plans. There are a lot of websites devoted to Area 51 lore (www.dreamlandresort.com is one of the best), and Microsoft has followed all public knowledge to a tee. 'Gold Coast' is the real call sign for Janet ops at McCarren'Desert Rock' is a real airpstrip and actual waypoint for the real Janet flights'Pyramid Peak' is another real waypoint for the visual approach to Groom LakeIn the mission, your aircraft changes callsigns from 'Janet' to 'Longhorn' when handed off from Nellis Control to Groom Tower. Changing callsigns on contact with Groom is a real-world procedure. You'll also hear a 'Granite' flight cleared to depart Groom and advise patrolling 'Tikaboo'. In real-life PaveHawk helos patrol the nearby Tikaboo Valley adjacent to Area 51 (they'll circle you and check you out if you are close to the base perimeter in real-life!) Anyways, fun stuff.
