Incorrect Sceneries Location

Featured Replies

I've downloaded several airport sceneries from the library, but it seems like all of them have a common issue to me. Even Though I am at the correct location inside the game, but if I use some other Apps to track my plane, then it is not at the location it supposed to be, (ie: I am on the runway in the game, but if I check the volanta and navigraph, I'm actually way off from the runway). And if I am flying with vatsim, the controllers and the other players will also see me at the wrong location on their radar, that will cause many problems when flying online.

Anyone has a solution for that? Or did I install these seneries wrong, is there any thing I need to do while installing these sceneries in order to avoid these issues, like modifying any files?

Thanks, thanks, thanks!!!

What airport and developer is this?

Since you're seeing the same left-offset in both Volanta and Navigraph, this implies it's the scenery that's wrong, and that the developer has placed the airport further to the left than it is in the real world, so the maps don't line up. It's unlikely that this would be an installation problem since the location of the airport is fixed when it's compiled. Depending on how old these particular sceneries are, they may have compatibility issues with newer versions of P3D (speaking of which, which version are you using?).

In terms of fixing the issue, you could possibly move the entire airport using Airport Design Editor, but if you've never used it before there's a fairly steep learning curve.

There are a few airports have this issue, the two I remembered is ZGGG and ZBAA. I'm using P3Dv4 currently. And I've tried to correct the latitude and longitude of the airports with Airport Design Editor, but it doesn't help, maybe it is just the way I do it is wrong, because I'm just new to the P3D.
