Get rid of on screen messages

Featured Replies

I was wondering how one can get rid of all on screen messages. I don't want them for brakes, parking brake or any views or zoom changes.I had this in fs2004 from a bill lyons downloadI searched the foum and didn't find this mentioned

Hi,In FSX.cfg change all these to false:InfoBrakesEnable=FalseInfoParkingBrakesEnable=TrueInfoPauseEnable=TrueInfoSlewEnable=TrueInfoStallEnable=TrueInfoOverspeedEnable=TrueFor zoom and any others you may need to change the "color" lines right above these lines. I believe that 0,0,0,0 is colorless.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

To get rid of the zoom and view message, change the following in the FSX.CFG file located at "C:Documents and SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftFSX";{DISPLAY}ChangeTime=4.000000 to ChangeTime=0.000000

Thanks ... these worked (I did the {DISPLAY}ChangeTime=4.000000 to ChangeTime=0.000000 method for zoom)

Try this mod. It is my favourite.Add the following lines to the fsx.cfg file in Documents and Settings/Application Data/Microsoft/FSX[Display]RUNWAY_LIGHTS_SURFACE_SCALAR=0.05 //scales edge, center, end, touchdown, runways RUNWAY_LIGHTS_VASI_SCALAR=0.05 // scales VASI lightsRUNWAY_LIGHTS_APPROACH_SCALAR=0.05 // scales approach light bars RUNWAY_LIGHTS_STROBE_SCALAR=0.05 //scales RAILs and ODALsIt tones down the lights, making them hard to see from a distance, especially the VASI. It makes the airports blend into the scenery more and is fun for visual approaches.HK
