Problems in 2D cockpit in new FSx planes

Recommended Posts

Guest RGH

Hi all In the past week I have bought two add-on aircraft for FSX one a download and one on CD.I am getting the same problem with both these aeroplanes.I have No problems with FSX.I reinstalled FSX and just the add-on and still got the problem. This is it When The flight is loaded I then click to run real world weather static or change result the same, as soon as I move out of the 2D cockpit view then back to the 2D view, the panel as disappeared and the only way to get it back is to turn off real world weather and the panel returns. This dose not happen with the planes that come with Microsoft FSX or Just flights flying clubs planes. As anyone any Idea what could cause this effect.I do not want to say the makers as it may not be their fault.Best regardsRex :-zhelp

It's the ten mile visibility bug. Known - and hopefully due for fixing with SP1.Allcott

RGH, a short term fix is to go into your fsx.cfg file and look in the {GRAPHICS} section for this line:AIRCRAFT_REFLECTIONS=1Change it to 0. Make sure FSX isn't running when you do this of course, or it won't stick.Save it out, start up fsx, and you should be good to go in any weather with your 2d panels. I too hope this is fixed in sp1.Cheers.
