P3Dv5 Vsync does not keep 30 FPS

Featured Replies

Hi all.

I have just switched to P3Dv5 fra v4, in a full cockpit environment with 3 x 30 hz projectors and one instructors monitor (running 60 hz). In v4 I had no problem with keeping 30 FPS by selecting VSYNC on and unlimited FPS. But doing the same in v5 makes it just what to me looks like between 30 to 45 and back, making everything stutter. Anyone have any suggestions? I have the main P3D view in my instructors station, with "Panel Only" option, blanking this view out, and then 3 views spanning across the three projectors using viewgroups. The instructors station monitor is not able to run 30 hz, so I am thinking if that would be the problem, that P3D somehow also takes this monitor into to consideration when it is detecting what Hz is be run?

An another funny thing, is that when I start up P3D, I start with a total black screen without any possibility to select the menubar or right click to get menu or anything (normal view on the projectors though), until I select next view (pressing S) and back again, then the topmenu suddently appears - but then my sound is playing the outside sound although I am back inside the cockpit? The sound thing I also tried in v4...

Hope someone has the wisdom to help me out here...

Thx in advance
