Tile Proxy not working

Featured Replies

Been trying to get TP working. When I select Load filter and runProxyuser from the start menu, I get the following in the DOS window:Attach Successful. Instance Name: TileProxy instance. The system cannot execute the specified program.Press any key to continue.Any suggestions why I cannot run the program?

Your Windows is 64 bit and you didnt install the 64 bit version of the tileproxy.sys filter driver?Your Windows is a 64 bit XP version? (sorry, the 64 bit driver is compiled for VISTA only)You run Windows 2000 maybe? These are some possible points of failure. Pick the one that applies to you ;)

Thanks for the quick reply.I'm on Windows XP home edition 32 bit. 2 GB memory.Highspeed DSL internet. Tried with IE 7.0 and Netscape 8.1FSX on C drive. No other programs running. No virus scanner.

ah I see its not the filter driver not executing, but some later program that gets executed by the load.bat script.just a guess: try commenting out the sleep.exe program - I got that from the Windows 2003 Server resource kit. Maybe it doesnt execute on your machine (but WHY?)load.bat is found inside the TileProxy folder. This is the script that installs and attaches the filter driver and finally executes the proxyUser "main" program. You can edit this script for example with NotePad.

In the load.bat program, I remmed out the sleep 3 line.Is that what you suggested?Same problem.
