The Amazon River in South America is the largest river by discharge volume of water in the world. At an average discharge of about 209,000 m3/s (7,400,000 cu ft/s) The Amazon represents 20% of the global riverine discharge into oceans. The Amazon basin is the largest drainage basin in the world.

Surrounding the Amazon is the world's largest rainforest, located in the heart of South America the Amazon covers 2.6 million square miles of land. Where you'll find dozens of National Parks in 6 Countries.

This month we fly low and slow over the river and several of these National Parks trying to grab a look at what might be hiding in the world's largest rainforest.

Your mission is to fly from Santarem (SBSN) to Macapa (SBMQ) with the Canadian Xpress Cessna C172 Skyhawk freeware or payware aircraft.
