Need help for too sensitive controls

I have been trying to fly FSX with much heartburn. The tips such as putting in the stick_sensitivity_mode=0 and reducing the control effectiveness in the aircraft.cfg files that work so well for me in FS9 just don't seem to be doing much in FSX. The aircraft still fly very jerky and the sensitivity is way too high. Is there anything else I can try? Would appreciate it.
