Trying to buy GTN 650 X-Plane software from this site: https://reality-xp.com/ ...

It leads me to some "eCommerce" installer app (which Windows claims is a Virus.) I disable virus stuff and get the installer download and then have to enter a bunch of data to buy. Then I download a special "coupon file" and have to upload it into the installer After creating and verifying an account, entering credit card data and jumping through more 1990's style screens it seems to download. 

After running the installer and choosing where X-Plane is installed, I get a big flashing screen that says it's installing but nothing seems to happen (and my credit card isn't charged either.

So...

  1. Anyone have a solution to this purchase/install issue
  2. Is it worth jumping through these hoops? The purchase process, installer, web site and forums all seem pretty kludgy. Is the software the same?
