FS9 repaints in FSX?

Featured Replies

I did search this forum and couldn't find the answer to this specific question.I would like to dress my FSX default DC-3 in RCAF Air Transport Command livery (C-47 Dakota, or CC-129). I found a couple of promising files from the library:rcaf_dc3.zip, by Ed Knapp, andcc129.zip, by Steve Piper. They both contain a folder called texture.rcaf, and I tried adding both to the FSX set of textures in Douglas_DC-3. Both have the same problem when I try to fly - missing textures for landing gear, rudder, door. The textures in the texture.rcaf folder are .bmps, while the other textures in the FSX Douglas_DC-3 folder are .dds files. Is my problem related to this difference in file format, or are the missing files supposed to be read from the "Texture" file in FS9?How can I get these FS9 repaints to work properly in FSX?Any help would be gratefully received!- Jeff
