still having problem with FSX time of day

I can't seem to change the time of day that my flight takes place. It seems to be stuck on GMT????it's really annoying when flying on vatsim at night, and i am flying during the day!?FS loads textures, pauses, then loads the textures again, defaulting back to GMT time of day.thanks,Michael
