Ultimate Terrain X and OOM

Featured Replies

Well ever since I installed UTX I keep getting OOM crashes in vista after about 5-10 minutes in most planes. Once I disable everything in the setup tool for UTX, I am good again. Is anyone else having issues running this thing? It does add a decent bit of realism to fsx but at the expense of stability it seems. I love the extra traffic and the roads and would really like to keep them. Any help?________________________________________________________________________________________________Intel D975XBX2 'Bad Axe 2' | Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.20Ghz | 2 GB Super Talent DDR2 800 | Big Typhoon VX | eVGA 8800GTS @ 565/900 | Seagate 2x320GB SATA RAID-0 | OCZ GameXStream 700W | Creative X-Fi | Silverstone TJ-09BW | Matrox Triplehead Setup

>Any help?Yes, post at the Ultimate Terrain Forum; http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_topics.asp?FID=19&PN=1Allen and the gang should be able to offer some help, much like this;I don't have the OOM errors and have a system comparable to yours. Except when I noticed the Matrox setup. UT/X does add greater detail and complexity to FSX and on your "average" top of the line system runs quite well. Ask FSX to take those effects and start spanning a 3840x1024 (?) screen display and sooner or later problems will arise.Post at the site above, see what others may suggest. Personally, I think some sliders will have to be nudged slightly left.

Thanks. I posted there and will see what they can do.________________________________________________________________________________________________Intel D975XBX2 'Bad Axe 2' | Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.20Ghz | 2 GB Super Talent DDR2 800 | Big Typhoon VX | eVGA 8800GTS @ 565/900 | Seagate 2x320GB SATA RAID-0 | OCZ GameXStream 700W | Creative X-Fi | Silverstone TJ-09BW | Matrox Triplehead Setup
