Just installed vista 64 ultimate on my system. Fs went from taking under a minute to load to 30 minutes!!! What is going on, why is it taking so long?

30 minutes sounds extreme. I'd suggest that you get "Procmon", a little program from MS (search for it on the front page) to identify what processes are running and files are being accessed when you launch FSX.Somehow, I would think it is the Indexing Service trying to catch up to index the newly installed FSX files). It's safe to disable (and you probably would want to keep it disabled, because it's garbage compared to Google Desktop, but that's only my personal opinion).Good luck,Pat

Ok I disabled indexing, and I downloaded procmon. It only happens at kdfw, anywhere else it loads fine. Procmon verified that something is wrong, I just cannot decipher all this computer code. Heres a screenshot of the problem.
