Will FSX Run Well on my Macbook Pro?

Featured Replies

Hey i just got new mbp with new intel chip it is the low end 15 inch mbp. It has 2gb ram 2.2ghz intel chip GeForce 8600M GT with 128mb graphics card. Do you think i can run fsx well in bootcamp or should i stick to fs 2004?

I've been running FSX on my MacBook Pro (2.4GHz version) and I'm very happy with it. I've installed FSX on an external firewire 800 based hard drive since I didn't want to use up all my laptop disk space with scenery and aircraft. As far as I can tell, this is also working fine. I think there are a few other people on this forum who are running FSX on a Mac via bootcamp so hopefully they will give you their views as well.RegardsDavid

ya but do u think GeForce 8600M GT with 128mb graphics card is powerful enough to get decent performance?

FSX runs well with 2GB RAM, 2+GHz multi-core CPU and a 512MB GPU, so FSX will probably run at your laptop, but you want to turn down your sliders to "Medium-Low" to "Low" in order to get acceptable performance.I am curious to know how it worked out for you.Good luck!Pat
