November 3, 200718 yr Hi everybody,I have a fairly OK machine: Dell XPS 710CoreDuo 2.16 GHz4GB RamNvidia 8800 GTX (512)->if you see on attached screenshot I have blurries eventhough I am at 20FPS mostly all the time. I do get the same effect when flying low and slow. (On the screenshot I am also not flying fast..)What am I doing wrong? Are me sliders still too far to the right? I can run e.g. Colin McRae Dirt with everything maxed with no problem...Thanks for your help, there are so many tweaks that I do not know what to do...Christian(I installed RTM and then directly SP1 over it...)
November 3, 200718 yr I'm not sure you're doing anything wrong (except that you haven't bought Acceleration yet! Whats up with that? :) Seriously though ... you're flying an SR71 at Mach+ speeds on a 2.16 Ghz machine. Sorry ... you're gonna have some blurries flying that fast (my view). At that altitude, your sliders are definitely too far to the right. Almost all of them (boats, cars, autogen, bloom, shadows ... the works) should be all the way to the left.Did you know that you can save different settings profiles and then load the most appropropriate profile before your flight? I don't have a single all-purpose profile ... I have dozens of them (Low-Slo, Racing, Cloud Dancing, ... etc.)This allows me to load the profile that is going to provide me with what I need and desire on a given flight. For example, if I'm flying the Bell Jet Ranger and hugging the roads, I want road traffic and lots of trees and buildings to land on. If I'm flying the glider on the hills in Hawaii, I want to see boats off the coast and lots of trees, but I'm not interested in car traffic. If I'm flying the SR71 ... I don't need cars, boats, trees ... or even clouds! I just need speeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!
