Cargo or air freight tends to be a more popular career choice for a lot of pilots, especially for those looking for more variation in routes and airports. Unlike a passenger airline pilot who will fly a lot of the same routes and airports week in and week out, cargo pilots can find themselves all over the world on random routes, based on where the freight needs to be moved.
