November 18, 200718 yr Can someone please tell me how to taxi the MS FSX Beechcraft Kingair 350? With other aircraft I just use the throttle. With the Beechcraft as soon as I release the brakes the aircraft moves and gathers speed. I have looked in Help, but no answers. Many thanks.Delta.
November 18, 200718 yr Hi matei'm sure this is an old problem.seem to remember someone suggesting editing the model file,as long as you are sure that your throttle is properly calibrated ,there is not a lot you can do.sounds like the idle engine power is set too high.any real world pilot's would confirm that an aircraft doesn't move unless you apply quite a bit of throttle.. cheers steve
November 18, 200718 yr This also happens in FS9 with the King Air, and so to help you taxi more easily try reducing the idle speed on the condition levers next to the throttle.
November 19, 200718 yr Many thanks for replies. I have indeed tried reducing the Idle Speed with the Condition Levers, and even the feathering of the props. Only very minimal benefit. Oh well I shall have to wear-out the brakes if I want to use this aircraft.Delta.
November 19, 200718 yr I start the engines with the props not just feathered, but reversed.I find the brakes will easily hold that way, even the parking brake for the most part.Happens with the KingAir and the cessna 208.
