do ai startup sounds really work?

I noticed the startup/shutdown section in the default soundai.cfg files but never heard them being used ingame by the ai traffic.does ai in fsx actually use startup/shutodwn sounds?just to let everyone know, the default soundais' dont contain reverser sounds, you can manually add them from user plane sounds.
