Heyo.

Old flight-simmer here. Getting back into the fun (I had an old handle here years ago, and I stopped paying for that email address).
Just trying to get all the old hardware online again. It's been at least 15 years or so...

I played in the old days, 2004, then did real pilot c172 word not allowed around the same year(s).

I did the serious sim stuff when the saitek pro flight yoke came out (after I did my time with WoW =p).

I was the lucky ebay buyer of an old Precision Flight Control Cirrus yoke for very very cheap (from back when they used serial ports, not usb).
I converted the yoke back in ~2010ish to USB with a BU0836A board/interface, and after using it for a good bit, well, it's sat dormant for probably around a decade after the fact at least. And it may be my imagination, but I think it's gotten a bit more "jerky" in it's movements now that I've started up again (physically jerky, electronically it's.. uh, fine... I want to rebuild it at some point, I think they still make the slide potentiometers that'll fit (the potentiometers are probably garbage now, fsuipc helps flatten the noise (as it did back when)).

(like I just got it all working just yesterday, it may be needing some more using of the bushings (press it in and out, multiple times), which I assume are oil impregnated, but idk about the original design stuff). I believe it used to be made note of somewhere on the site or a manual (I read it somewhere at the time): to not to lubricate the bearing surfaces (it's all a "metal on nylon" bushing surface, no bearings FYI.  I've opened it up a few times, and I just wonder if the other interior sliders need any kind of lube? idk.  At this point I'm sure dust is somewhere. I've noticed a bit of like 1mm series of "jerks" when pushing in or out with one hand. So probably it's just me noticing, but does anyone here have any experience here about old PFC equipment?

Just for giggles does anyone know what kind of button the trigger button on a PFC cirrus yoke is? One of mine was missing (the circle one at the front, the one you'd use to toggle the mic, it's about 1cm round, it clips in), I don't use it, but it kind of bothers me since it's missing, I could solder it back in easy, I just don't know what to call the button to order the thing =p.  (I'm also thinking of trying to replace the slide potentiometers, I mean they look standard. imo.

Just your suggestions please.

Thanks,
John
