TileProxyUninstall Problem

Recommended Posts

Guest usapatriot

Hello, after using TileProxy I didn't really like it so I un-installed the program.Anyways, now when I try to open FSX I get one hundred "Scenary CFG error that says cannot find area xxx" etc. Anyways I un-installed and reinstalled FSX and was shocked to find that I am still getting the same error. Now before I reinstalled I deleted all FSX and tileproxy folders, including the CFG folder in in C:/ drive. Is there any way to modify the scenery CFG or rebuild the scenery library?I mean I totally reinstalled FSX and I am still getting the same error. I would think that it would be solved.Anyways using the Windows search tool I find only one file containing the tile proxy name in the Windows prefetch, could this be affecting FSX?

Did you download the first beta version found on the avsim file library, maybe? That had an incomplete uninstaller and the deinstallation procedure was only outlined in the user manual. It is your scenery.cfg file that still has the entries for the World folders.I think the scenery.cfg file is to be found in:C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataMicrosoftFSXErase all entries named WORLD_xx from that file. Or use the FSX scenery library to erase them one by one.Christian
