Three monitor framerate slowdown

Recommended Posts

Guest wjmeier51

I am using an Intel duo core 3 gig processor, 4gig of ram, two PCIEx16 nvidia 8800gt video cards, Asus P5E motherboard, Vista 64 bit, DX9, FSX SP1. With one monitor hooked up to each video card, and a 3d view open on each monitor in full screen mode, my framerates stay locked at 24. Everthing is smooth. I can open a third 3d view on either of the monitors, and my framerates stay locked at 24. If I hook up a third monitor, and configure 3 monitors in FSX, when in full screen mode my framerates drop to between 1 and 2. If I switch to windowed mode, my framerates go back to 24. Does FSX have some kind of limit on the number of monitors in full screen mode? I would like to be able to use three monitors with three full screen views without using multiple PCs and wideview.Bill

I'm having a hard time commiserating with the sorry state of your gaming platform.:-hahA little aluminum, and you should be able to get to Oshkosh with that thing!
