This is crazy. I've been using the EZCA cameras for many years now on FSX with no issues. My latest version is EZCA 3.0.1.84. Last month I saw a post about upgrading EZCA to make it compatible with Windows 11. I downloaded the patch and installed it. The patch provided a new version of Simconnect. My version of Simconnect is 10.0.61259.0. The patch, EZsc_patch.exe, was supposed to install a new version for 64 bit Windows.

I followed all instructions, and... you guessed it... no EZCA and it screwed up all the views in FSX. So, I went online and researched this issue and followed all recommendations with no success. I uninstalled EZCA and re-installed it with no results. Using the config tool I reverted to Simconnect 10.0.61259. No results.

So, I uninstalled EZCA and deleted all references to it in the registry. After that I re-installed it and I got it working half way. The issue that I have now is that when FSX starts, EZCA loads as a separate app but not in FSX. I can see this using the task manager. At that point EZCA doesn't show in the Addon menu either and the screen freezes. Okay, then I left it like that, ran the EZCA.exe and the EZCA app in the Task Manager moved from the app section to the Service section and started the 64 bit patch also in the services section. EZCA then loads in the Addon menu and runs normally. Lot of steps to get it running but at least I can use it.

But what happened here? How can I get it to start when FSX starts. Anyone to the challenge? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
