replacement autogen - Tried many in fs9 but not FSX

Featured Replies

Hi,I found a couple of replacement autogen textures in the library, but not much talk on the forums. Although I get very good performance, I am always attempting to improve smoothness. If anyone has tried any replacement textures (buildings and/or trees) I would appreciate any feedback from you.RegardsBG

If you're talking free ones, can't help ya.If you're talking payware ones, then you should really check out Ground Environment X. (I am not affiliated with them at all, just like their product.) For relatively cheap, you get much improved ground textures ... so much so that it's allowed me to lighten up on some of the sliders, so I get better performance.Flight Terrain X is also an up-and-comer, but for the money, doesn't really provide enough coverage in my view. It only covers the southern part of Austrailia, but offers some additional features like roads, lights and better coastlines.Cheers,

Hi,I should have been more specific. I do have GEX. I was looking for replacement tree's primarily. Thanks muchBobG

'TreeX V.2.1' is very nice. It allow you to install replacement tree textures at 256, 512 or 1024 resolutions. It has a proper installer, and backs-up your originals, so rolling back is easy, should you not like them.http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Search...X&CatID=fsxscen

Thanks Much redline, I will give it a look see.Bob
