Thrustmaster TFRP Callibration Problem

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, this is my first post as I am only into this wonderful hobby for the last 3 weeks or so.

I am having trouble getting my Thrustmaster TFRP pedals to work properly. The brakes work as they should, as does the right-hand pedal, but while the left-hand pedal has full physical travel, in the aircraft, it only shows about 25% of movement. I have tried to calibrate them in MSFS but no matter what I do, the left-hand pedal does not work properly. When I try and calibrate them in Windows 11, though they show up in "Game Controller", all I get is a joystick calibration tool that is not relevant for pedals (it is asking me to push buttons and to rotate the controller in a circle as you would for a joystick). I have the pedals plugged into my PC using their adapter, which I have set to aircraft. There doesn't seem to be a driver. I don't know what to do. Does it sound like a hardware issue?  Any suggestions?

I'd like to add something to the above.

Because my Thrustmaster pedals were not working properly, I thought I would use the Z access on my WinWing Ursa Minor Airliner joystick. I set the twist action on the joystick (Z axis) to Rudder axis. Now both left and right rudder work equally and I can set an extremity dead zone to limit the rudder range, but no matter how I tweak the hardware setting curves in MSFS 2024, the rudder is either at full rudder or in neutral. This is all very confusing.

Sorry to be loading this up, but another thing has just happened and maybe they are all related.

I have been flying fine with my WinWing Ursa Minor joystick, when suddenly, in mid-flight my ailerons stopped working. Everything else still works on the stick.

Interestingly, when I go to the setting controls for the joystick, there is no blue sensitivity graph on the x axis. All I get is the grey screen with the centre white indicator dead. It moves left and right in response to x axis input on the stick, but there is no up and down movement as it moves left to right and no blue line indicating its sensitivity. This is not the case with the other axis where I can set sentivity curves effectively.   I have tried rebooting the computer but the problem seems persistent.

Any help would be so greatfully received.
