July 6, 200817 yr I reach the point when starting engines with the CRJ700, both engines are running, generators switched on, ignition off, but fuel flow is low. The checklists I've looked at mention "fuel flow" without being specific. I've tried everything I can think of but nothing boosts it to the high numbers with CTRL+E. What should I be doing, and when should I be doing it?
July 6, 200817 yr Hello,Usual idle settings for a typical jet engine are: 25% N1 60% N2 400C EGT and a fuel flow of about 0.3T/hMartin
July 7, 200817 yr >Usual idle settings for a typical jet engine are: 25% N1 60%>N2 400C EGT and a fuel flow of about 0.3T/hThe fuel flow numbers are negligible. But with CTRL+E it starts the left, then the right engine and fuel flow leaps up. I'm definitely missing a step on startup.
