Adding Water Rudder to Amphibians...

Recommended Posts

Guest Dominik Mann

I'd like to further fine-tune the A-90 ekranoplane, and this time I would like to add a water rudder to this craft so I can control it after splashing down. Could anybody tell me what to do? Once again, I am only doing this for my private purposes and have no intentions of redistributing this add-on.Thanks!

If you want to use FSedit you can add a water rudder in the section for gear, float, and contact points. The difficulty is finding a location, distance rearward and depth, that will work. Look at the C208 amphibian for guidance.Another trick that is used on the Beaver is: find the two front float contact points using FSedit and assign a steer angle around 30 degrees to each.I don't know for sure if you need a rudder extension lever or not. What I did was to find the lever used on the C208 and add it to my panel by editing the panel.cfg file.John Woodward
